Why does TheGoalSet exist?

TheGoalSet serves two fundamental purposes.

Firstly, it's a platform for learning. My interests span a wide spectrum, from my professional work and business concepts to fitness, dieting, finance, stock market dynamics, real estate, literature, music, and the pure joy of acquiring new knowledge. The blog serves as a canvas for exploring these interests and sharing what I learn along the way.

Secondly, it's a manifestation of my passion for helping people, working alongside them, and cultivating a thriving community. My experiences have taught me the immense value of mentorship and community support. TheGoalSet is my way of paying it forward, creating a space where individuals can embark on their journeys of self-improvement, goal achievement, and continuous learning.

Who's behind TheGoalSet?

Hello! I'm Bobak, and I'm the voice behind TheGoalSet. By day, I'm a Program Manager, navigating the dynamic world of project management and team support. My journey to this point has been shaped by a deep-rooted passion for science and a relentless pursuit of personal growth.

My educational background lies in biochemistry, where my initial aspiration was to run my own research lab, in which its research would hope to impact daily human life through further understanding our bodies at a molecular level. However, the path was anything but smooth, and college presented many challenges. A less-than-ideal GPA and limited research experience altered my course. 

Yet, as the saying goes, when one door closes, another opens. I found myself at Sakuu, where I served as a chemist for a year before transitioning to program management.

This shift marked the beginning of a new chapter—one that I've grown to cherish. Program management allows me to explore my passion for supporting and teaching people, creating effective processes, and orchestrating schedules that are instrumental in guiding teams toward their goals. It's an arena where being a "jack of all trades" is a valuable asset.

As I look ahead, my goal is to continue down this path until I can confidently step into the role of a Chief Operating Officer (COO), where I can oversee an entire company's operational team and roadmap. 

I've been incredibly fortunate to have had remarkable mentors and coaches throughout my journey, including executive leadership figures and accomplished scientists and engineers. Their guidance has been invaluable in shaping both my career and my approach to life. Through them, I have truly changed a once failing path out of college to a very optimistic plan for success. I hope their teachings as well as my own learnings can come out in TheGoalSet to bring some value to you.

My story is one of resilience and transformation, a testament to the profound impact of dedicated mentors and personal determination. Through TheGoalSet, I hope to offer a hub for learning, growth, and a sense of belonging—a place where you can both expand your horizons and be part of a community committed to everyone's success.
